These have a fantastic peach flavor with a bit of tang and a texture that is somehow juicy and meaty at the same time. Their gorgeous darker red skin is on the thick side, adding a bit of a crunch to your peach-eating-experience. One ugly fruit customer reports that the sturdier skin makes it easier to peel for canning.
Note: they are semi-cling, the only non-freestone variety in the Cloverleaf Farm orchard.
Sold in boxes of 8-11 pounds of fruit. Indicate how many boxes you would like to order.
Ugly Fruit orders placed by 8 pm Wednesday are delivered on Thursday to pickup sites in East Davis, West Davis, and midtown Sacramento. Ugly fruit boxes are generally delivered to the pickup sites by 4:30 pm on Thursday and are available for self-serve pickup any time after that. Please pick up your ugly fruit orders promptly; fruit that is still unclaimed by 4 pm on Friday may be redistributed by site hosts to prevent food waste.
